The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an independent organization and does not belong to any state or national affilitation. Because we are a PTO, and not a PTA, we keep 100% of all funds raised for our school rather than sending money for state/national dues or fees.  Your PTO actively fundraises throughout the year to sponsor activities and events such as:

  • Purchase of playground equipment & technology supplies
  • Artist in Residence
  • Teacher Grants
  • Staff Appreciation
  • Assemblies
  • Running Club
  • Movie Night
  • Bingo Night
  • Read-A-Thon
  • Book Fairs

All parents and guardians of children attending Lava Ridge, as well as each member of the professional staff, are members of the PTO.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in our activities!

The PTO meetings are held on a Thursday every other month at 3:45 pm with the first meeting planned for October 4th.  Please join us at the meetings to find out about all the activities that are going on in our school.
