Lion Dash PTO Meeting with Jake Roberts and Rachel Schendel August 23, 3:30 pm
PTO board members in attendance; Tiffany Hewlett President, Stephanie Walker Treasurer, Miriam Dunn Volunteer Coordinator
Lion Dash Fall Fundraiser- Kickoff date Sept 27th. Fun Run date October 13 2:15-3:15
Volunteers Needed-50, 2 at each starting point, color coordinated
Colors by grade:
  • K-Red
  • 1-Orange
  • 2-Yellow
  • 3-Green
  • 4-Blue
  • 5-Purple
Proceeds go to approved items for PE and Music programs, running club and other programs the PTO funds.
Prizes needed for race: (PDF included in this email)
  • Frozen treats for entire school
  • $100 gift card to Big 5 for top boy and girl laps donated by Ryan Walker State Farm
  • Treasure Chest Prizes (Upstairs, in bins)
  • $5 gift cards to Jamba Juice (for $50+ donations)
  • 1 hour jump pass to Mountain Air (for $100+donations) (If we can get him to sponsor some of it…otherwise we might do a different prize here)
  • $20 gift card (for $150+donations)
  • Mountain Air Party Drawing (for $200+ donations)
  • Medals for classroom most laps
  • Classroom most laps PE party
  • Classroom most donations Music party
  • If we reach our goal of 13k- Ice bucket on….
Other things needed:
  • Ask Middle School Students/Lion Leaders to help stuff packets to go home to students.
  • Create color coordinated cards for each student
  • Ask room parents to laminate and yarn each card
  • Lion Leaders make posters to hang around school to get kids excited
  • Lawn Signs
  • Make sure kids know to bring water bottles-no water stations
Things to purchase:
  • Medals
  • Yarn
  • Colored Paper
  • Frozen Treats (and freeze them in plenty of time)
